VERONA, N.Y. -- The University of Delaware men's golf team will kick off its 2011 fall season this weekend as the Blue Hens will compete in the Third Annual Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate.
The tournament, which is hosted by the University of Missouri, will be played on the par 72, 7,105-yard Kaluhyat Course which was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. Two rounds will be played on Sunday while the third round will be played Monday, with action on both days beginning at 8 a.m.
In addition to Delaware and Missouri, the 14-team field also includes Baylor, Binghamton, Bowling Green, Central Connecticut State, Cleveland State, Connecticut, Mount St. Mary's, Purdue, Seton Hall, Saint Bonaventure, Saint Peter's, and TCU.
Delaware will be led by senior co-captain Stephen Scialo (at right), who appeared in all 12 tournaments a year ago while ranking third on the team with a 76.87 average round. Scialo tied for the top finish by a Blue Hen at the CAA Championships by placing 11th at the tournament, and also was a season-best eighth at the Villanova Wildcat Invitational this spring.

Bobby Arthur, the third senior on the team, and junior J.R. Fasy should also contribute this season, as well as sophomores Dan Costenbader and Corey Wagner.
Additionally Ben Conroy, a junior transfer from Coker College, and freshmen Fraser Graham and Niño Rosal should all make an immediate impact for Delaware.
