Blue Hens Men's Golfers Tied for 16th Place After Second Day of C&F Bank Intercollegiate

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- The University of Delaware men's golf team recorded a 306 team score on Monday and is tied for 16th place out of 29 teams following the second round of the C&F Bank Intercollegiate hosted by William & Mary.
The Blue Hens, who posted a 295 score during Sunday's opening round, dropped two spots into a tie for 16th place with a two-round total of 601. Missouri continues to lead the field with a 576 score, while Old Dominion is five shots back at 581. UNC Greensboro sits in third place at 583, while Radford is fourth at 586 and High Point is fifth at 587.
Senior Stephen Scialo followed his opening round of 75 with a five over par 76 on Monday on the par 71, 6,831-yard River Course at Kingsmill Resort, and is tied for 53rd place with a nine over par 75-76-151 heading into Tuesday's final round. Scialo fired a three over par 39 on the front nine Monday, before a two over par 37 on the back nine which included a birdie on the 15th hole.
Sophomore Corey Wagner carded a nine over par 80 during his second round, and also is tied for 53rd place at nine over par with a two-round score of 71-80-151. Wagner was even par through five holes on Monday which featured a birdie on 3, and was still just one over for the day following his 37 on the front nine. However Wagner fired an eight over par 43 during his back nine, which included a 9 on the final hole.
Junior Ben Conroy (at right) enjoyed the lowest round of the day by a Blue Hen, following his opening round 77 with a four over 75 on Monday, finishing the day tied for 68th place with a 10 over par 77-75-152. Conroy shot a three over par 39 during his front nine and a one over 36 during the back nine which included a birdie on 18.
Senior Greg Matthias carded a seven over par 78 on Monday, and will also enter Tuesday's final round tied for 68th place at 10 over par with a 74-78-152. Matthias birdied 5 and 8 during a two over par 38 on the front nine, before recording a five over par 40 during the back nine.
Freshman Niño Rosal fired a six over par 77 during his second round, and sits in a tie for 68th place with a two-day score of 75-77-152, 10 over par. Rosal finished the front nine with a four over par 40 which included a birdie on 1, but responded with a two over 37 on the back nine as he closed the round with a birdie on 15 followed by three pars.
Missouri teammates Emilio Cuartero and Jace Long, along with Sebastian Buckland of Francis Marion, are all tied for the individual lead at two under par heading into Tuesday's third and final round.
