Ni?o Rosal, Blue Hen Men's Golfers Each Second Following First Day of Manor Intercollegiate

FARMVILLE, Va. -- Blue Hen freshman Niño Rosal sits in second place in the individual standings while the University of Delaware men's golf team is also second in the team standings on Friday following the first day of the Manor Intercollegiate hosted by Longwood University.
The Blue Hens posted a 299 team score during Friday's opening round before improving with a 290 score, Delaware's lowest of the spring season, during the second to finish the day at 589. Seton Hall leads the 10-team field at 580 followed by the Blue Hens, George Washington at 592, and the host Lancers at 594.
Rosal (at right) carded an even par 72 during his first round on the par 72, 7,246-yard course at The Manor Resort Golf Club before firing a three under par 69, the lowest round of his career, during the second to finish the day at three under par 72-69-141. He will enter Saturday's final round one shot behind leader Dylan Jensen of Longwood who posted a four under par 77-63-140 and set a course record during his second round.
Junior Ben Conroy also finished the day in the top 10 of the individual standings for the Blue Hens, carding a two over par 73-73-146 to end the day tied for eighth place. Senior Stephen Scialo is tied for 15th place after he fired a six over par 76-74-150 during the day.
Senior Greg Matthias shot an eight over par 78-74-152 to finish the day tied for 24th place, while sophomore Dan Costenbader fired a 15 over par 81-78-159 to finish in 45th place.
