University of Delaware Women's Golfer Baralee Theinthong Named To WGCA All-American Scholar Team

NEWARK, Del. -- University of Delaware women's golfer Baralee Theinthong, who recently completed her sophomore season with the Blue Hens, was named to the Women's Golf Coaches Association Division I All-American Scholar Team, the organization announced on Monday.
Theinthong, who carries a 3.87 grade point average as a finance major through her first two years at UD, was one of 644 women's collegiate golfers recognized with the prestigious honor. She also earned the All-American Scholar award following her freshman year.
Theinthong competed in all but one tournament for the Blue Hens during the 2012-13 season, ranking fourth on team with an 81.63 stroke average. She led Delaware by finishing a season-best 17th place at the Colonial Athletic Association Championships, and also was the Blue Hens' top finisher at the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate during the spring. Theinthong, who carded seven rounds in the 70s during the year, was also a Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-American nominee.
