Delaware?s Tobias M?ller Selected to Pre-Season All-CAA Team

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Delaware men's soccer team has placed one player on the All-CAA pre-season squad, which is voted on by the league's head coaches. Junior Tobias Müller was the lone Blue Hen to receive pre-season honors.
A total of 13 student-athletes were selected to the All-CAA pre-season team while seven players were named to honorable mention. Drexel's Nathan Page tabbed the CAA's pre-season men's soccer player of the year for 2013. Page earned first team All-CAA accolades last season and was also an All-Region selection.
A defender from Steinfurt, Germany, Müller earns the first All-CAA pre-season honor of his career. Müller has been selected to the All-CAA second-team for two consecutive seasons. Müller started in seven CAA contests last season for the Blue Hens scoring one goal on just one shot to register a perfect shooting percentage.
Müller and the Blue Hens will compete against local Wilmington University in an exhibition matchup on Aug. 20 at 7 p.m. on the campus of University of Delaware.
Delaware, who won the CAA Tournament in 2011 and proceeded to upset Virginia, 1-0 (OT) in the first-round of the NCAA Tournament, looks to make its third CAA Tournament appearance in four years. The Hens open conference play Oct. 9 in Harrisonburg, Va. on the campus of James Madison.
The regular season opener for Delaware is set for Saturday, Aug. 24 at Monmouth.
