STORYLINES
• Delaware opens its 110th men's basketball season tonight as the Blue Hens take on the Liberty Flames.
• Tonight's game will be the second all-time meeting between the two schools, and the first in Lynchburg.
• Delaware won the first matchup on Jan. 1, 2014 with a 77-64 triumph at the Bob Carpenter Center.
• The Blue Hens are 6-2 against Big South opponents, while Monté Ross is 3-2.
• UD is 51-58 in season openers, but has lost eight consecutive games to kick off a season.
• This year marks the fifth consecutive season UD has opened on the road. Delaware plays five consecutive road games before the home opener vs. Army on Dec. 3.
• The Blue Hens return 25.0% of their points and 32.8% of their rebounds from a year ago.
• Kyle Anderson, the lone returning starter, will miss the first month of the season after undergoing surgery for a right hand injury on Nov. 11.
• Delaware features 11 freshmen and sophomores, and just four combined juniors and seniors.
• The Blue Hens were picked eighth in the CAA Preseason Poll, while Kyle Anderson was named Preseason Honorable Mention All-CAA.
