SERIES INFORMATION
· Delaware is 2-1 all-time against Virginia Tech since the first meeting in 2006.
· The Blue Hens are 1-0 over the Hokies in Newark with the lone matchup resulting in a 16-7 Delaware victory on March 27, 2007 at Rullo Stadium.
· UD has won two straight against VT.
· In the last meeting, Delaware defeated Virginia Tech, 8-7, in Blacksburg on March 23, 2008. Kateri Linville is in her fourth season with her alma mater and currently holds a career record of 26-30.
· Megan Burker is also in her fourth season as the head coach at Virginia Tech. Burker has led the Hokies to an overall record of 31-26 during her tenure.
ABOUT VILLANOVA
The Hokies are 3-3 on the season with wins over High Point, Elon and Longwood. Virginia Tech began ACC play last week with losses to No. 6 Duke and No. 12 Notre Dame. The team's other defeat came to CAA opponent James Madison in the season opener. Senior Julia Heaps and junior Megan Will lead the Hokies each with 24 points on 16 goals and eight assists. Junior Meg Bartley ranks eighth in the nation with 6.2 draw controls per game, amassing 33 total so far this season. Freshman Meagh Graham has started all six goals in the cage for VT with a total of 317 minutes played. She allows 17.6 goals per game with 46 saves.
