The awards recognize the outstanding performances of rowers and coxswains from each of the five regions, organized into first and second-team selections. Nominated student-athletes were evaluated on the strength of their team's regional finish, coaches recommendations, and 2,000-meter erg score. Nominees must have competed in their teams' varsity boat in 75 percent of races this season.
Scholes, who earlier this month was named first team All-Colonial Athletic Association, was a key member of the Delaware Varsity Eights crew that placed fourth at the CAA Championships May 18 in Fairfax, Va., sixth in the semifinals and 16th overall at the Dad Vail Regatta, placed sixth in the Petite Final at the Murphy Cup, and fourth in its heat at the Knecht Cup . She was one of only two freshmen on the UD Varsity Eights crew this spring.
Scholes was joined on the CRCA All-Mid Atlantic Region list by first teamers Katherine Ashton (Navy), Amanda Chikowski (Bucknell), Ally Flinn (Georgetown), Kelsey Flynn (Northeastern), Alexandra Gustafson (Boston University), Erin McElroy (Northeastern), Kathleen O'Connell (Northeastern), Lynn Ratté (Boston University), Andrea Seifert (Bucknell), Julianna Welch (Jacksonville), and Alaina Williams (Northeastern), and by second teamers Westanna Carleton (Boston University), Kelly Jackson (Boston University), Victoria Kielty (Bucknell), Chloe Laverack (Northeastern), Maria Levano (Fairfield), and Sarah Specht (Boston University).
