Hello Blue Hens!!!
I hope everyone is having a great summer! So far mine has been pretty busy. After I took my last final in May, I headed straight to the beach for a family wedding. It was awesome to have my family all together again. We rarely are all together so when we are, we have the best time!
This summer I've been working as a nanny for two great little boys. My day is full of dropping off, picking up, playing games, cooking lunch and so much more to make sure the boys are safe and having fun! Sometimes when it's not too hot, we'll g
o outside and play basketball together which is so fun!
A couple of weekends ago, Stef, some friends and I participated in the Colorvibe in Elkton, Maryland to benefit the Boys and Girls Club. It was a 5k run but as you ran, they covered us in different colored paint. By the end, we were so colorful with paint all over. It was a super fun time and I'm so glad I got to do it with Stef!
We recently celebrated July 4th , which is one of my favorite holidays. I love getting dressed up in my red, white, and blue and enjoying a bbq with my family.
I hope everyone has a great rest of the summer as we look forward and get ready for basketball season!!! Can't wait to see everyone back in the Bob! Go Hens!

HELLO BLUE HENS FAMILY!
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far. I know I am. In just these few weeks I've had so much going on.
When the school year ended in May, I was able to
go home for two weeks to enjoy a brief "summer break." During that time, my younger sister, Alexis, graduated from high school! She'll be attending UNC Chapel Hill in the fall and I'm so excited for her to experience college life.
The majority of my time at home was spent with family and I was able to catch up with a few friends.
My time at home went by so fast. Before I knew it, I was back in Delaware. We wasted no time getting back into the swing of things with workouts, lifting and conditioning. Our very first day back we had a 6 a.m. lift and individual workouts with the coaches the next day.
In addition to our team workouts, I'm taking a Physics class during this first summer session. It's only our second week and we've already had an exam!
I've also been kept busy with rehab for my knee. Back in April, I had surgery and I w
as just cleared to start playing again last Friday! I've really been working hard to get back and be healthier than ever.
The only down part of my summer has been the result of the NBA Finals. I'm a Miami Heat and Dwyane Wade fan and I was pretty upset with the way they played in the series against the Spurs. Hopefully they can redeem themselves next season and win another championship!
I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their summer! I look forward to seeing all of our amazing fans next season!
GO HENS!

Hi Blue Hen fans! Hope you all are enjoying the first few weeks of summer — Newark sure has been treating us with some beautiful weather to welcome the season!
The past few weeks (even including finals) have flown and I can't believe we are already in the first week of summer session.
This summer is going to be a busy one for me and I was glad to get to spend last week at home in DC, getting some much needed R&R after the stress of finals.
While home, I got to go paddle boarding with one of my friends, something the two of us used to do daily back in high school. My older sister also got
engaged recently, so we spent some time looking at wedding venues and planning parties, all of which is VERY exciting.
While time at home was fantastic, I was eager to return to Newark and start my summer schedule. Basketball is especially exciting for me right now, as I'm just starting to get back to running and playing after a long season benched with a complicated ankle injury. To say I'm excited to start playing again is an
understatement!
In addition to basketball training, I'm taking two classes and have a variety of internships and summer jobs to keep me very busy. I'm working with UD Admissions as an ambassador to the school, a job our own Kelsey Buchannan had for a couple of summers while she was here. She loved the job and they loved her, so it looks like I'm going to have some big shoes to fill over there!
I'm also working at Christiana Hospital, doing research regarding me
dical literacy in patients and also evaluating the effectiveness of a new rounding technique they recently implemented. While at the hospital I will also be shadowing doctors in the pediatric department and in the OR. I actually got the opportunity to watch a pediatric ACL replacement surgery this week, which was an amazing experience as I went through the same surgery just a few years ago.
Overall, it's going to be busy, but we are no strangers to busyness around here! Happy summer everyone!

Hello to all my wonderful Blue Hens fans. I hope everything is going well with you all and your families. I know that you miss watching us play already, but no worries, we will be back in action in no time.
We just wrapped up our post season workouts that consisted of lifting, conditioning and individual skill work. We are all working towards
getting us another championship next season which would be bittersweet! And I know that would make all of you very happy.
Ever since the season ended, I have been on a mission to make myself and my teammates better by putting in extra work with my trainers and coaches so that we reach our goal by winning a championship. It starts in the off season when no one is watching and we just watch to shock everyone AGAIN!
Not only has basketball been great for me, but school has also been good. It is coming to an end finally for a little bit.
As you can see everything on our team and on campus is going very well and we all are working hard. We have one goal and that is to win a championship. See you all soon and enjoy your summer. Let's Go Blue Hens! All or Nothing!
April 22, 2014
Hello Blue Hens fans! Hope all is well. Things are going great over here at the University of Delaware. Now that the season is over, we had two weeks off and then immediately jumped into postseason workouts. That consists of individual workouts, conditioning and lifting. They have definitely been hard, but they are getting us to where we need to be.
Aside from basketball, school is going well too. It's about midterm time, so we have all been hitting the books hard.
Last Thursday we had our end of the season banquet. It was a lot of fun seeing everyone dressed up and out of basketball clothes. It was also great seeing our seniors recognized and honored for all of the hard work they have put in during their time here.

March 25, 2014
The last few weeks have been a whirlwind with the CAA Tourna
ment and WNIT.
The CAA Tournament and banquet were both great experiences. This was my second year going to the banquet. It is so much fun getting dressed up with my teammates and looking nice because most people only see us in our basketball gear.
The games we play in the CAA Tournament are my favorite games of the year. We know that every game is going to be close and we are going to have to battle until the end and that's exactly what we did. We didn't blow any teams out to get the championship. Both games against Northeastern and Charleston were down to the wire and we were fortunate enough to win both to make it back to the championship game. Both years I have been here we have been in the championship game and it's just an incredible feeling.
Although we came up short, we now know what it's like to be so close and we will work to get back there next year and bring home a championship!
Thi
s past Thursday we traveled to Rutgers and played them in the WNIT. Rutgers was a great team and we gave it all we had, but came up short.
It was a disappointing end to the season, but we still accomplished a lot. To come in second in the conference when everybody picked us fifth was a great accomplishment. We really came together and proved people wrong, but we really couldn't have done it without our amazing fans.
I want to thank everyone for believing in us and supporting us through the good times and the not so good times. My first season playing in front of you guys was one to remember and we plan on making next year even better!
Now that the season is over, it's time to catch up on classes and get some rest. We have this week off from basketball and next week is our spring break. Once we get back from spring break, we are going to start working again towards another championship. When we get back to school we will start lifting, running and having individual workouts.
March 13, 2014
Hey! The regular season has come to an end, which makes me sad because I wish we could just play all year round. This team is so fun to be around as there is never a dull moment when all of us are together. We lost to Northeastern to close out the regular season, but I'm glad we get another shot at them in the CAA Quarterfinals.
Tomorrow is the first day of the tournament for us and I'm anxious to play! We have already proved a lot this year, but w
e are far from finished.
Last night was the CAA banquet and we all had so much fun. Everyone was finally able to get out of their sweats and dress up. It was such a nice change for an evening! I was also so proud of Kelsey and Stephanie for their awards.
Classes are going well this semester. I'm starting to really get in to my major classes, which is really interesting, but they are great so far.
Hope to see you all in Upper Marlboro! Go Hens!

Hey Blue Hen Fans!
This is a rather bittersweet moment for me as this may be my last blog as a student-athlete here at the University of Delaware. Once a Blue Hen, always a Blue Hen though, and I cannot tell you what being here for the last four years has meant to me. The many of friends I have made here and not to mention the families I have adopted, the bonds are incomparable. Never have I ever been this close to a group of wonderful, talented and dedicated women. I will miss them so much.
Senior day had to be one of those moments in life when I was sadly happy. Being honored by my teammates, coaches, family, and most importantly by you, the fans, was very moving and will be one of my favorite moments ever. Just being there and seeing the pride on the faces of my biggest supporters, gave me so much joy. I say this with such humility, I love you all. Seeing everything that we have built together over the last four years
humbles my heart and I will forever be grateful.
As we are drawing to a close, with CAA Championships this coming week, I really want to thank all the dedicated fans that came out to support us, it really means a lot to have you on our side, cheering us on. A lot of times we forget that "sixth player" and it would mean nothing without you all there.
We are second seed in the CAA, and while we're grateful, we want it all! Come out and support us as we try to take that CAA Championship home with us once again. I could not be more excited for my team. We have worked so hard and we hope to make you proud.
Thanks again for all the love and support, I really cannot thank you enough. You guys really mean so much to us.
Peace and Love.
Go Blue Hens!
March 1, 2014
Hello again Blue Hens fans!
Over the past two weeks or so things have
been really hectic. Starting February 16, we had games every other day! Going back and forth between playing and practicing took a little getting use to since there weren't a few days in between to recover. It took a lot of mental and physical preparation for the long game streak we had.
On February 16, we had our Pink Game, which is probably my favorite game of the year. I love that we dedicate a game for Breast Cancer Awareness and I also enjoy getting to wear all of our pink gear!
Another
game that I really looked forward to this year was our senior game. Althought I am not a senior, I was excited for Kelsey and Akeema, who have both done so much for our program. A few days before the game, the rest of the team got together and made scrapbooks for them as a way to remember our teams and the memories we have all shared.
Things have slowed down a bit and we are coming up on our last game of the season against Northeastern. Looking back to the beginning of the season to where we are now, I'm happy with the progress our team has made.
We started the season on a mission to prove everybody wrong and do better than everybody thought we would do, and we have done just that. However, we're not done yet! In a few weeks, we'll be headed down to Maryland for the CAA Tournament and we're going with the goal of winning our third championship.
I hope to see everybody at the Show Place Arena cheering us on!
GO BLUE HENS!

Hello Blue Hen Family!
This season has been flying by so fast and it s
eems hard to believe that we only have two regular season games left! We just finished a long stretch of five games in 10 days.
Valentine's Day weekend was a pretty exciting time for me because my family came down from Canada to watch our games! My family flew down from Newfoundland and my aunt, uncles and cousins made the 10-hour drive from Ontario to watch us play. I could hear them cheering during the gam
es and it was so cool to look up and see them all in their Blue Hens shirts. It was awesome to see everybody again and I loved spending time with them!
I also got to spend lots of time with my sister, Caroline, who just turned 11. This was great because we are so close! My Nan Sutton wasn't able to com
e on this trip but she still tunes in to watch every single one of our games online from home and cheers for the Blue Hens!
I am just starting my third week of spring classes and the workload has definitely picked up. I am taking four pretty intense courses this semester including math, physics, computer science and my first mechanical engineering course, so I really have to stay on top of my studies and make sure I get my work done before and after practice and games. It's crazy to think that next week I wi
ll have exams in some of my courses!
Just this past Sunday, we had our senior game, which honored our trainer Jess in addition to Kelsey and Akeema. It has been so awesome to play with them this past year and I have learned so much from them. They have been such a huge part of our team and have left a lasting impact on the program.
With only two conference games remaining, we have a lot of hard work ahead of us to prepare for these games. We went on a nice six-game win streak but after two close losses recently, we need to refocus and make sure we work hard to finish off the seas
on on a high note.
It's crazy to think that we played our last home game on Sunday but the support from the fans has been amazing. It's been awesome to be able to meet so many new people at the games and to see that a lot of younger fans look up to the players on our team is amazing.
Thanks for all your support and Go Blue Hens!!!
February 17, 2014Happy Valentine's Day Blue Hen family!!
As crazy as it seems we are just wrapping up winter session and starting our spring semester here at UD and
what a busy start to the spring semester we have had here on the basketball team! Many of my teammates, including yours truly, did not take classes in the winter so we were able to focus solely on basketball and now are getting back in to the groove of balancing class, basketball and our other various commitments.
We did get a little bit of a break from classes Thursday thanks to all the snow that fell Wednesday night. My roommate and I took a quick trip outside to play around in the freshly fallen powder!
Unfortunately, our game against College of Charleston that was scheduled for Thursday night was pushed back to Friday afternoon but everything turned out alright as we played really well and got a great win.
Havin
g a game on Valentine's Day was fun as roses were given out to our fans and YoUDee ran around asking people to be his valentine, including our very own Grace! She unfortunately had to break YoUDee's heart and give back the ENOURMOUS ring he gave her. Being in conference season is so exciting not only because we are playing against teams that we know extremely well but also because many of our families are able to travel to the weekend games. I know
I certainly have missed seeing my family and all their craziness (such as my sister deciding she'd be a cart-o-gator in Target! Friday's game started a string of five games in 11 days, so we are making sure to do little things to keep our spirits up and our minds focused.
Sunday's game against Towson University was our pink game, which is always one of my favorite games. I love getting to raise awareness for breast cancer by wearing our pink shoes and uniforms and having a pink out!
I'm really excited for my classes this semester as I will be taking two classes with professors I had last semester and really enjoyed learning from and two classes with professors that teammates and friends have had and suggested I take. I am taking a nice blend of required maj
or courses and non-major but still required courses that are really diverse (I'm taking the Oceans, Communications, and Nutrition) so it'll be an interesting spring. Spring semester always flies by with the CAA tournament in March and spring break later on and I am sure that in no time at all we will be out of this snowy weather and enjoying some nice warm weather.
Hope you all are staying warm and as always, Go Blue Hens!

February 5, 2014
Hey Blue Hen fans!!!! February has been good to us so far and I have a feeling it will be a great month for the UD hoop squad.
I particularly love February because of black histo
ry month and breast cancer awareness month. This week we were very excited about our big win over Towson. We had off on Monday, but we are now back to work to prepare for UNCW.
When we arrived in the locker room on Tuesday, we had a pleasant surprise as our pink game breast cancer awareness shoes were in our lockers! Everybody loved them and we started practicing in them immediately so that we can break them in before our game on Feb. 16.
Tuesday was also a special day because we went to Oberle Elementary School to be a part of their school pep rally and get the kids excited for "I Love Reading" month. We had shooting competitions where we were able to interact with the kids. They were all so excited to have us there and it was truly a great experience.
This
week we have also gotten a chance to attend some of our men's basketball games at the Bob. On Monday, it was a great experience to watch my friend, Devon Saddler, become the school's all-time leading scorer. The crowd went crazy and it was awesome to be a part of Devon's big moment. That's pretty much it for this week. We are leaving Thursday to go to UNCW for our game on Friday --- keep your fingers crossed that we have better airport luck than we did heading to Charleston!

January 31, 2014
Hello Blue Hens!
Well, this past week was certainly eventful as we traveled to South Carolina to face the College of Charleston. First, w
e arrived at the airport on Saturday and boarded a really small plane. Poor Kelsey and Stef had to duck because their heads hit the ceiling! Since it was snowing, our plane had to go through de-icing which added some extra time onto our trip. Finally, we were headed to the runway and eager to take off, but the pilot came over the loud speaker and said that there were some mechanical issues with the plane. That meant we had to go back to the gate to fix the problem. After about an hour and a half, we were able to return to the plane. However, we had to go through de-icing all over again! Our 1:45 flight didnt finally take off until almost 5:00. We missed our connecting flight and had to spend the night near the Dulles airport.
The next morning, we woke up at 5 a.m. to fly out to Charleston. After 24 hours of traveling, w
e finally had arrived! We went to our hotel to get a good nap in before our game. When we got to the game, there was no one to unlock our locker room, so we had to wait about 20 minutes until they found someone who could let us in. It seemed as if nothing could go right with this trip!
However, at the end of the game our team realized that despite coming up just two points shy of beating Charleston, we showed fight and more importantly, heart. While it was absolutely heartbreaking to fall short, it motivates our team to work even harder in practice for when we face them on February 13 home!
An upside of the trip for me was that my best friend, who goes to school in South Carolina, drove three hours and surprised me at the game! It was so nice to see h
er and great to have a Blue Hens fan in the crowd considering how far we were from Delaware.Overall, the trip was exhuasting and traveling could not have gone worse, but our team made the best of the situation and enjoyed the extra time we got to spend together.
My favorite part of the trip was having a dance party on the bus the night we were stranded in D.C. While traveling wasn't so all that fun, we did make some great memories.
Hope to see everyone in the Bob for our upcoming home games! GO HENS!!!

January 23, 2014

A couple weeks into conference play and the season is moving like it always does around this time. It's crazy how quickly it all feels. The first big trips we made were to W&M and JMU. As a Virginia girl, along with some other teammates of mine, we were super excited to drive by our towns and see familiar places.
It's al
so nice to return home to the BOB as now I see even more familiar faces there. Last week, as a team we went to the men's game after practice. I love going to their games with the team. We always have so much fun together. This week I got to see my ball girl and take a picture. She always passes the ball and smiles at me but it was so nice to to meet her outside of game time. Akeema and I have been roommates on t
he road all season and it has meant so much to me to be able to share this experience with her. I would trust her with anything and love her so much. It was funny however the other day when she came over to my house one night. I was like "Akeema, we're only roommates on the road, not in real life!" Ha ha! Even though we see each other so much it's always so much fun. As teammates go I'm pretty much obsessed with mine. Except when it snows. LOL! We all have the wo
rld's smallest cars and it makes me soo nervous. This week we got a lot of snow and left the gym to a winter wonderland. The roads were really bad, but we were really hungry. We carpooled and everyone got home safety. I asked everyone to text when they got home and as everyone responded I realized how glad I was for them and that they all made it home. We had some fun in the snow too haha. Campus is beautiful when it snows and I'm constantly reminded why I choose Delaware.

December 10, 2013

Hi Blue Hen family! I hope you are all having a joyful holiday season. This is my favorite time of the year by far! But between finals and basketball, we've all been really busy.
Our team just got back from Orlando, Florida, where we played a Thanksgiving tournament at UCF. The trip was amazing! We left Wednesday afternoon, and spent about five days enjoying the warm Florida sun. The highlight of the trip was definitely Thanksgiving dinner at Stephanie's aunt's house. After a quick practice on Thursday morni
ng, we all got dressed up, piled in the bus and drove about 45 minutes to Stef's family's house which was right on a lake outside Orlando. It was beautiful! We had fun dressing up and taking pictures, as it's rare for us to see each other in anything other than basketball clothes. Stef's family had the meal catered and it was delicious! On Friday we had some down
time before practice to study and after practice we took the bus to Downtown Disney to shop and walk around for a while. It was exciting to get a taste of Disney magic while we were in Orlando, even if it was only for a little while!Saturday and Sunday were our game days and after beating both
SIUE and Howard we came back to campus Sunday night buzzing from a great trip and two wins.Since coming back, time has been a blur! Everyone has been crazy preparing for finals, and we've been going really hard in practice, since we had about two weeks off from games after Florida during finals week. We travel to Princeton this weekend and even though it'll be a tough game, I know we are all incredibly excited to play our hearts out and hopefully get another W!
Happy Holidays!

Hello again Blue Hens fans!
As you all know, the season has just begun and I hope you're all just as excited as I am!
Right before the start of our season, we had our Hens Hoopla. I had so much fun at last year's event and I was really looking forward to it again. I had a great time watching and participating in the different activities and even got to meet a few fans.
Last Friday was our first away game of the season against Rhode Island. Since it was our first game of the season, I was both excited and nervous. Winning the game was such a great feeling, especially since we were on the road.
Tuesday night we had our second game and first home game against Temple. We didn't have as good of a game as we expected, which led to our first loss of the season, but we won't stay down because of it. Now we're preparing for our next game against Wake Forest and we're using the game against Temple as a learning experience to improve the things we did wrong so we can get better as the season goes on.
We're still really early in the season, so we plan on learning from our mistakes and getting better as a team. Although we are a young team, I am excited for the rest of the season and can't wait to see how we do the rest of the year.

ur classes – which means that the semester is already half over! This also means that Thanksgiving is coming and then, my favorite holiday, CHRISTMAS! The time is flying by and I am enjoying every minute!

e predicted to finish fifth out of the nine teams in our conference. That list just got us more excited to work harder and prove everybody wrong.

on the uniforms for the first time that season. I love the excitement of taking pictures in the locker room with the new teammates. I really just love everything about it and this picture day did not let me down! It was so strange to take a senior picture with Akeema, Coach and myself. It felt like just yesterday I was taking a freshman year picture.
aditions of Homecoming for me include the step show Friday night followed by the football game on Saturday. Both did not disappoint and I was entertained all weekend. One of the highlights for me this weekend was running into Alecia, an old friend and basketball fan. From my first game in the Bob, I could remember her screaming and cheering on our team. In years past, she made our team pink ribbons for our pink games and even came to other basketball games with us. She is a true fan. I was so glad to see her at Homecoming and reminisce about all of our crazy memories together.

e definitely enjoyed ourselves! We are all still getting use to each other, especially with the freshmen, but I believe we have a pretty strong bond going already and it can only get better from here.
d for two weeks before returning here for the fall session. While I was home my entire family and friends gathered together before I left to have a Blue Hen party to wish me good luck at school. Everybody wore blue and gold and we had a huge BBQ. This was awesome because I got to spend time with a lot of people I hadn't seen in a while and it was great to see all the support I have from the people back at home! While I was home I also travelled a bit around Newfoundland with my family. Newfoundland is a beautiful place to visit so it was nice to visit around with my family before I left.
start the fall semester. My mom and aunt both came down to help move me into my new dorm. I got to meet my new roommate and a couple of girls from my floor who are really nice! So far my classes are going well but all of us on the team have very busy schedules! We have been training very hard with strength and conditioning and individuals with the coaches. Next week we are starting team practices again.
re able to get inducted into the school at the twilight ceremony. I have gone to both of the home football games so far this year and Delaware has won both times, which is great! I'm also really excited because next week a couple of my teammates and I are going to see the Ed Sheeran concert! I love listening to his music so this should be a great show.
udent body into a Blue Hen State of Mind!
ports management major, most of my core classes are about business and communications.
already! This summer was so busy as it flew by. I arrived on campus with the other freshmen at the beginning of July for the second summer session. It was definitely a different experience for me at first, but once I got adjusted to everything, I had a great time. It was really nice to be on campus for a while before the school year; now that school has started I'm so grateful for the tricks I discovered this summer that most freshmen haven't found yet!
the day at Sandy Hill was by far my favorite, overall I had a great experience in QUEST and learned a lot of leadership skills that I can apply directly on the basketball court.
ent by so fast.
we are now allowed to practice with our coaches over the summer. It was good being able to play with our whole team and it was helpful when the freshmen came so they could practice with us. We started to get a feel of how it was going to be when the season starts.
I've had a fun filled and action packed summer these past few months! I started off the excitement with a trip home to celebrate my younger sister, Charlotte's, confirmation and moving up ceremony from eighth grade. I really enjoyed being able to spend time with family and friends for the weekend playing can jam and catching up with each other.
Right after Char's confirmation Chelsea, my older sister, and I packed our bags and headed out to Music City, USA (also known as Nashville, Tennessee) to hear some great country music, visit with Chelsea's college friend, Ryan, and explore some sites. We are definitely a teacher's (my mom) kids as we spent six hours at the Hermitage, Andrew Jackson's estate. We took a wagon ride around the grounds, toured the Tulip Grove and Jackson's house where we learned about General Jackson as the President, as a father and as a business owner, it was all very educational. It's a good thing Chelsea and I like each other because we shared headphones for the entire time there!
y finished with college! I have to say we've really started gelling and getting to know one another this past month.
I took a week off from workouts at the end of July to head up to New York City and meet up with Charlotte, Mrs. Craig (Chelsea Craig's mom) and a group of youths from her church. We completed a week of service throughout the city at different soup kitchens/food pantries, from the NYC FoodBank and St. Mary's Church in Harlem down to Trinity Church Wall St. and Holy Apostles Church. Holy Apostles was my favorite day of service as were able to help serve lunch to over 1,200 people! When we weren't working hard to help others we were able to explore the city, everything from seeing the Phantom of the Opera on Broadway to visiting the 9/11 memorial to taking a bus tour. It really meant a lot to me to be able to share all of the experiences with my sister, especially being able to show her the completed Freedom Tower and explaining the significance of th
e reflecting pools and different parts of the 9/11 memorial. I couldn't spend too much time in my home state though as Delaware was calling me back!
n-coming freshmen to campus four days before regular move-in. I can't wait to meet this year's group of amazing students who are looking to expand themselves and become leaders!
Another first for me, and probably the most exciting part of my summer, was getting my first car! It was a surprise from my parents and I absolutely loved it!
nior and also plays basketball. I was really happy to be able to go with them and be a part of her recruiting process. I can't wait until she chooses what college she wants to go to! It was also nice because we go to visit family after visiting the schools.
have had a great summer so far. It hasn't been the most exciting summer ever, but is definitely the most productive one that I have ever had.
mmates, roommates and other friends that stayed in Delaware for summer school. We go out to eat (a lot… I love food), to the mall and to movies all the time.
t we went on what may or may not have been the hottest day of the year! All of the student-athletes that went walked around different parts of the fairgrounds passing out fans andbuttons. We were able to talk to a lot of fans. Getting to interact with so many different fans and student-athletes from other teams definitely outweighed the fact that it felt like a million degrees.
e all of the macho football and basketball guysscream at the top of their lungs when they got on some of the rides! I am not a roller coaster person, but I got peer pressured into getting on one and I absolutely embarrassed myself.
At the beginning of the summer, I took two weeks to go to chapter camp in Lancaster, Pa. with Delaware Christian Athletes (DCA) with some fellow student-athletes and really bonded with them over sports and God. It was a fun week roughing it in the woods while learning about one self, each other and bonding over team activities.
ek, I traveled to San Diego to visit my best friends from high school. We all play collegiate basketball, so it isn't very often that I get to see them (I probably haven't seen them in over two years!). It was so nice to be together again.
