Ian Hennessy, whose team earned votes in the preseason NSCAA Top 30 poll. “We are pleased that we were able to keep teams from scoring and even though we have scored a brace (two goals) in each game, I think the players will know that with a little more spit and polish we could have scored a few more. There is certainly room for improvement as we forge ahead.”

Hen Scratchings: Delaware will return to action this Thursday, Sept. 4, when the Hens host Iona at 7 p.m....Delaware is now 12-3 at home since November, 2012...Delaware is off to a 2-0 start for the second straight year but for just the third time since 2006....Delaware All-American Guillermo Delgado (above) had 7 of the team's 14 shots...the game was the first-ever between the two teams in men's soccer....Delaware goalkeeper Borja Barbero did not have to make a save and posted his seventh shutout at Delaware.
