Delaware Women's Soccer Lets Halftime Lead Slip Away in 2-1 Setback to Army

Delaware sophomore Nikki Adams (Pittsgrove, N.J./Schalick HS) gave the Hens a 1-0 lead with her second goal of the season as she took a feed from Maddie Brosler and fired a shot from 25 yards out that hit the cross bar and went into the net.

However the lead would not stand up as Army's Katie Holder tied the game just 3:15 into the second half on a header and Clare Shea scored the game-winner with 17:51 left to play off a loose ball following a corner kick.

Hen Scratchings:
• Delaware will return to action Sunday when the Blue Hens take on host Brown at 1 p.m. in Providence, R.I.
• Jess Figueroa made three saves in goal but took the loss for the Hens
• The Hens' 27 shots were a season-high and the Hens have not outshot opponents 81-19 this season
