Kyle Martin Tied For Individual Lead, Blue Hen Men's Golfers Tied For Second After First Day of Navy Fall Classic

ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Blue Hen junior Kyle Martin fired a four under par 33-34-67 and is tied for the individual lead while the Blue Hens are tied for second place in the team standings on Saturday following the first day of the season-opening Navy Fall Classic.
Martin posted the lowest round of his career during Saturday's opening round on the par 71, 6,528-yard Naval Academy Course, and is tied for the lead with John Hulede of Towson.
Delaware posted a 288 team score, the program's lowest since Sept. 29, 2012, to finish the day tied for second place in the team standings with a 288 score. Seton Hall leads the 10-team field with a 284 score, while Cornell and the Blue Hens are four shots back. Towson and Georgetown are each tied for fourth place with 290 scores.
UD freshman Erik Dulik fired an even par 36-35-71 during his Blue Hen debut to finish the day tied for eighth place, while fellow newcomer Jack Gianniny is tied for 29th place after carding a four over par 34-41-75.
Freshman Kieran Purcell is also tied for 29th with a 36-39-75 while Blaine Lafferty, playing as an individual, carded a four under par 39-36-75. Senior Fraser Graham is tied for 52nd place after he recorded an 11 over par 40-42-82 during Saturday's round.
