Delaware Men's Golf Program Announces 2015 Spring Schedule

NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware men's golf team will compete in six tournaments this spring as the Blue Hens announced their 2015 spring schedule on Wednesday.
UD opens its season later this month, competing in the Arizona Intercollegiate at Sewailo Golf Course in Tucson, Ariz. That tournament will be the Blue Hens' first ever in the month of January, and will mark Delaware's first trip to the state of Arizona.
Following an eight-week break, the Blue Hens will head south to compete in the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate hosted by William & Mary at Kingsmill Resort on Mar. 22-24. The following week UD will again participate in the Villanova Wildcat Invitational on Mar. 30-31 at White Manor Country Club in Malvern, Pa.
The Blue Hens head back to the state of Virginia on Apr. 10-11 when they take part in the Liberty Spring Invitational at Poplar Grove Golf Club in Amherst, Va., and wrap up their regular season on Apr. 18-19 by competing in the Navy Spring Classic in Annapolis, Md.
Delaware concludes its campaign on Apr. 24-26 at the Colonial Athletic Association Championships, which will be held for the third straight year at St. James Plantation in Southport, N.C.
Mike Keogh, will be looking to build on a strong fall campaign that saw UD post second place finishes at the Navy Fall Classic, Cornell Invitational and Binghamton Fall Invitational. Jack Gianniny led Delaware with a 73.54 average round during the five fall tournaments, while fellow freshman Kieran Purcell was second at 73.77 and junior Kyle Martin was third with a 74.00 stroke average.
