POWELLS POINT, N.C. -- The University of Delaware men's golf team carded a 294 score on Sunday as the Blue Hens ended the first day of the Old Dominion/Outer Banks Invitational in 12th place out of 18 squads.

Campbell fired a 267 score during Sunday's round to lead the field, while Akron and Old Dominion are tied for second at 278.

Blue Hen junior Marc Oliveri carded an even par 71 on the par 6,525-yard Kilmarlic Golf Course to end the day tied for 18th place, while sophomores Kieran Purcell and Blaine Lafferty fired a two over par 73 to finish the round tied for 38th place.

Sophomore Jack Gianniny is tied for 73rd place following his six over par 77, while senior Kyle Martin is tied for 80th place after his seven over par 78.

David Langley of Old Dominion carded an eight under par 63 and will take a one-shot lead into Monday's second round.
