Hens Face Leopards Tuesday at Lafayette

NEWARK, Del. – Following an upset over No. 16 Georgetown in Saturday's season opener, the University of Delaware women's lacrosse team travels north to Easton, Pa. to take on Lafayette Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Fisher Stadium.

SERIES INFORMATION
· Delaware is 15-9 all-time against Lafayette since the first matchup in 1981.
· The Blue Hens have won eight straight over the Leopards dating to 1993, including an 11-6 victory last season.
· During the 2013 campaign, UD picked up a commanding 19-7 win against Lafayette in Easton.
· Also heading the squad at her alma mater, Alison Fisher (Lafayette '01) enters her seventh season with the Leopards in 2015 and is 33-70 during her time on the sidelines as Lafayette's head coach. Following graduation at LC, Fisher worked as a graduate assistant at Delaware for the 2001-02 academic year.
ABOUT LAFAYETTE
The Leopards dropped their season opener, 10-3, to a strong Monmouth squad Saturday. Junior Melissa Galione and sophomores Kirsten Wilhemsen and Maggie Carver each scored a goal for Lafayette in the loss. Last season, LC posted a 7-10 campaign while going 2-6 for a seventh place finish in the Patriot League. Wilhelmsen (36 goals) joins classmate Amanda Case (25 goals) as two of the top four scorers to return from the 2014 campaign while the Leopards feature a freshman in the cage with Anna Raymond.
