SERIES INFORMATION
· Delaware is 6-0 all-time versus Villanova since the first meeting in 1994.
· The Blue Hens have defeated the Wildcats by a combined score of 94-39 in six matchups.
· Last season, Casey Lyons and Lauren VanDaniker combined for 11 points as the Hens came back from a halftime deficit to defeat the Wildcats, 11-8, at Delaware Stadium on March 8.
· UD is 1-0 over VU at Villanova. The lone pairing on the road came on April 25, 2008 with the Hens coming out victorious, 20-10.
· Julie Young (Princeton '01) is in her fourth year at the helm of the Wildcats. Young is 19-33 during her tenure at Villanova and 52-51 as a head coach after previously serving three seasons at Haverford College.
ABOUT VILLANOVA
The Wildcats are 1-3 on the year with their lone win coming on their home turf against Bucknell. Villanova is facing its second straight ranked opponent in Delaware as the 'Cats are coming off a 13-6 loss at the hands of No. 18 Stony Brook. Jackie Froccaro leads the team with 13 points off 11 goals and two assists while Jessica Mucci is atop the BIG EAST and holds a top-10 ranking nationally with 2.25 assists per game. Froccaro has also posted 16 draw controls at a clip of 4.0 per contest. Sam Scarfogliero leads VU defensively with 11 groundballs and seven caused turnovers. Jaclyn Fraum has started all four matches in the net for the Wildcats and allows 10.14 goals per with 26 saves.
