SERIES INFORMATION
· One of the longest rivalries in program history, Wednesday's game will be the 48th matchup all-time between the Blue Hens and Tigers.
· Delaware holds the series advantage at 29-18 despite losing eight straight to TU.
· The Hens' last win against the Tigers came with a 16-15 victory on April 1, 2007 at Rullo Stadium.
· Last season, Delaware had a six-game winning streak halted in a heartbreaking 12-10 overtime loss at No. 19 Towson. Shannon Hawley led the Hens with four goals. Kateri Linville (Delaware '03) holds an overall record of 38-37 with the Blue Hens.
· Sonia LaMonica (Maryland '03) is in her fifth season with the Tigers and has been named the CAA Coach of the Year in each of the previous four years. LaMonica is 50-29 overall with Towson and holds an all-time head coaching record of 58-38 after spending one season at Mount St. Mary's.
ABOUT TOWSON
The reigning CAA champion Tigers are off to a bumpy start after opening the year 2-0 before dropping two straight to No. 1 Maryland and No. 2 North Carolina. Most recently, TU fell in a heartbreaking, 15-14 double overtime loss to the Tar Heels. Towson is currently receiving votes in the most recent IWLCA poll and has won three straight conference titles. Andi Raymond leads the way with 14 points off eight goals and six assists while Breanna Hamm is second in the conference with 5.50 draw controls per game. Kelsea Donnelly is a third-year starter in the cage for Towson and has registered 33 saves with 10.62 goals allowed per contest.
