Renzi and Wong Successful in 5-2 Setback at Lehigh

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Freshmen Matt Renzi (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Mendon) and Colin Wong (Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia/SMK Kota Kemuning) each picked up three-set wins Saturday afternoon, but the University of Delaware men's tennis team was unable to come out victorious in a 5-2 loss at Lehigh.
Renzi defeated Jack Petersen, 6-4, 4-6, 10-6 in No. 3 singles for his sixth career victory.
In No. 6 singles, Wong registered his fourth consecutive win with a 6-3, 2-6, 10-8 score over Tyler Hansen.
With the loss, the Blue Hens fall to 0-11 overall while Lehigh improves to 9-5.
“Colin [Wong] and Matt [Renzi] both competed extremely well today and were able to convert when they needed to. We're looking to bounce back tomorrow with a win at Mount St. Mary's.”
