Delaware Moves Up To 23rd Place Following Second Day of Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- The University of Delaware men's golf team posted a 301 score on Monday to move up three spots into 23th place following the second round of the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate hosted by William & Mary.
The Blue Hens improved upon their opening round score of 308, and are 23rd out of 30 teams with a two-round total of 609. Maryland and Loyola (Md.) are tied for first place at 573 after Monday's action.
Kyle Martin carded his second straight round of 74 on the par 70, 6,765-yard River Course at Kingsmill Resort, ending the day tied for 43rd place with an eight over par 74-74-148. Kieran Purcell enjoyed the best round of the day by a Blue Hen, firing a 72 to move up into a tie for 66th place at 78-72-150, 10 over par.
Jack Gianniny is tied for 93rd place with a 14 over par 75-70-154, while Marc Oliveri sits in a tie for 115th place with a 17 over par score of 81-76-157. Blaine Lafferty has carded a 25 over par 82-83-165 through two rounds and is tied for 148th place.
The final round of the tournament will begin with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday.
