B+ Hero Shirts Now Available

NEWARK, Del. – In an effort to raise awareness for the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation and the team's B+ Hero Day, the University of Delaware women's lacrosse team has announced the sale of game t-shirts.
The Blue Hens will host B+ Hero Day on April 10 as Delaware continues CAA play with Hofstra at 5 p.m.
The B+ Foundation provides financial and emotional support to families of children with cancer. Additionally, the foundation funds childhood cancer research in search of cures and advancements in chemotherapy.
A B+ Hero is a child who has battled or is still battling childhood cancer. Various groups across the Delaware campus have adopted B+ Heroes, whose names are listed on the front of the t-shirt.
The UD women's lacrosse team adopted Abby Supplee, a 13-year-old cancer survivor, in 2011 and has dedicated the 2015 season to her.
Kateri LinvilleThe t-shirts cost $20 each with orders due by April 3 at 1 p.m. Shirts ordered will be available for pickup at the game on April 10. No gameday sales will be available.
“We are so happy to see that Abby is almost eight years cancer free and will be starting high school soon,” exclaimed junior Elyse Andrews. “The team has truly embraced this celebration year for Abby and we play inspired for her daily.”
