Blue Hens Lead Team Standings After First Day of Wildcat Invitational

MALVERN, Pa. -- The University of Delaware men's golf team fired a 294 round on Monday and leads the Villanova Wildcat Invitational heading into Tuesday's final round.
The Blue Hens, who posted their second lowest round of the spring, lead the 16-team field, while Saint Joseph's is second at 295 and Drexel is third at 297.
UD freshman Jack Gianniny carded an even par 71 on the par 71, 7,055-yard course at White Manor Country Club, and is tied for second place just one shot off the lead. Kyle Martin and Kieran Purcell each finished the day tied for fifth place after both players shot one over par 72 rounds.
Erik Dulik fired an eight over par 79 and is tied for 49th place, while Colin McKenna is tied for 74th place following his 11 over par 82 round.
Playing as individuals, Niño Rosal carded a three over par 74 to end the day tied for 13th place, Blaine Lafferty is tied for 20th place with his four over par 75, and Fraser Graham is tied for 30th place with a five over par 76.
Josh Holling of Binghamton leads the field with a one under par 70 while Gianniny, Christopher Crawford of Drexel, and Lucas Trim of Villanova sit just one shot back.
The second and final round of the Wildcat Invitational will begin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
