Hens Return to Turf to Host CAA Semifinal Match vs. JMU Friday

Following a 12-day hiatus from game competition, the University of Delaware women's lacrosse squad will seek its first-ever Colonial Athletic Association title this weekend by hosting Hofstra, James Madison and Towson at Delaware Stadium.
The third-seeded Blue Hens will face the second-ranked Dukes for the second straight season in the semifinals at 7 p.m. Friday. The Pride, the top seed, will pair off prior to the UD game against No. 4 Towson at 4 p.m.
Sunday's championship game is slated for 1 p.m. and will be aired live on the American Sports Network.
ADMISSION
Tickets for each day are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors (60 years of age and older) and youth (17 years old and younger). Students from the University of Delaware, Hofstra, James Madison and Towson are free with a valid school ID. For more information, or to buy tickets, please click here.

Alex Zaugra is ninth all-time with 296 career saves. Lisa McBeth (1978-79) is in eighth with 301 career stops.
· Zaugra is also second with a 9.12 goals allowed average in 2809:01 minutes played.
SERIES INFORMATION
· James Madison holds the all-time series advantage over UD, 24-15, since the first matchup in 1982.
· The Dukes have won seven straight and 10 of the last 12 against the Blue Hens, including an 8-6 victory on April 19.
· Last season, JMU defeated Delaware, 11-9, at Delaware Stadium on April 11 and followed with a 13-9 victory in the CAA semifinals at William & Mary on May 2, 2014.
· The two teams are knotted up at 9-9 all-time when playing in Newark. Since beginning play in 2011, UD has never defeated JMU at Delaware Stadium.
· Delaware's last win over James Madison came on April 17, 2009 with a 10-6 decision in Harrisonburg.
· The previous season, the Hens picked up a 13-12 win against the Dukes on April 11, 2008 at Fred P. Rullo Stadium.
· A two-time All-American at James Madison, Shelley Klaes-Bawcombe returned to her alma mater prior to the 2007 season and is in her ninth year at the helm of the Dukes. Klaes-Bawcombe holds a mark of 103-56 with JMU and 153-91 in her 14 years as a head coach.

The 17th-ranked Dukes finished the regular season on a five-game winning streak to move to 13-4 on the year. JMU received the second seed in the CAA Tournament with a 5-1 mark in the league, with its lone loss coming to top-seeded Hofstra. James Madison has appeared in four of the last five CAA Championships, winning the title in 2011. The Dukes have a high-powered offense, averaging 13.65 goals per game while scoring at least 10 goals in 14 of their 17 games this season. Betsy Angel and Stephanie Finley guide JMU with a league-best 44 goals. Angel has added 19 assists for 63 points, which is good for second in the CAA. Schylar Healy has logged nearly 1014 minutes in goal with 138 saves and 9.41 goals allowed per game.
