SERIES INFORMATION
· The Blue Hens and Phoenix match up for the first time in program history.
· Josh Hexter (Assumption '95) is in his second season as the first head coach in Elon's program history. Prior to joining the Phoenix, Hexter spent eight years as an assistant coach and eventually associate head coach with Duke women's lacrosse.
ABOUT ELON
Just a second-year program, Elon is 7-4 overall and made its CAA debut Friday with a 12-2 loss at Towson to break a four-game winning streak. Two-time CAA Rookie of the Week selection Stephanie Asher guides the Phoenix with 40 points off 33 goals and seven assists. The freshman has also posted 22 draw controls, 15 groundballs and seven caused turnovers. Sophomore Sloane Kesser is the team-leader with 15 assists and adds 14 goals for 29 points. Abby Godfrey has registered 25 groundballs while Molly Garrigan has tallied 24 draw controls for Elon. Rachel Ramirez is the team's starting goalie and gives up 9.96 goals per game with 82 saves.
