Slane, a native of Temecula, Calif. (Great Oak), appeared in all but one tournament for the Blue Hens this season, leading the squad with a 75.62 average round, the lowest in the four-year history of the program. She averaged an impressive 73.80 shots per round during the spring season, placing among the top 20 individuals in all five tournaments including three top 10 finishes.
Slane tied for third place at the Kiawah Island Spring Classic on Mar. 1-3 and tied for fourth at the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate on Mar. 30-31, before capping the year with a record-breaking performance at the CAA Championships on Apr. 17-19. She carded a UD and CAA record 71-71-67-209 on the Reserve Club course at St. James Plantation, winning the league title by eight strokes.
Slane, who set a UD single round mark with her final round 67, becomes the second Blue Hen to earn All-CAA honors, as Amanda Terzian was a second team selection a year ago.
Chua, who carries a 3.98 grade point average as a finance major, participated in five invitationals for Delaware in 2014-15, averaging 82.20 shots per round. A native of White Rock, British Columbia (Semiahmoo Secondary School), Chua was selected to the CAA Academic Honor Roll as a freshman.
