UD Men's Golf Team To Compete in Patriot Intercollegiate This Weekend

LORTON, Va. -- The University of Delaware men's golf team heads south to participate in the fourth annual Patriot Intercollegiate hosted by George Mason on Sunday and Monday.
The 54-hole tournament will feature two rounds on Sunday beginning with an 8:15 a.m. shotgun start, with the final round taking place on Monday. Seventeen teams will compete in the tournament, which will be held on the par 71, 6,903-yard Laurel Hill Golf Club.
Along with the Blue Hens and host George Mason, the field also includes Bethune-Cookman, Binghamton, Eastern Kentucky, Fairleigh Dickinson, High Point, James Madison, La Salle, Longwood, Marshall, McDaniel, Navy, Saint Joseph's, Towson, Villanova and West Florida.
Blue Hen senior Kyle Martin, the team's top finisher at last weekend's Cornell Invitational, will lead UD from the number one position while Jack Gianniny, who has posted a team-low 73.00 average round through two tournaments, will play in the second spot. Sophomores Kieran Purcell and Blaine Lafferty will be third and fourth respectively for the Blue Hens, while junior Marc Oliveri will make his season debut in the fifth spot.
