Bob Shillinglaw. “When we were ahead by a couple of goals in the beginning of the second half I don't think there was any letdown, and credit to them, they made plays, but on the defensive end we have to step up and keep working hard to make the right plays. Everybody fought hard, we just didn't make the plays when we had to. We have a young team with several new players at different spots so we will be growing as the season goes on and I think we'll have success as we continue.”HEN SCRATCHINGS:
• Delaware will continue action next Sunday, Feb. 21, when the Hens travel to Navy for a 12 noon faceoff in Annapolis, Md.
• The Hens lost for just third time in 15 all-time meetings vs. Mt. St. Mary's and lost at home for only the second time in nine matchups. Delaware has scored at least 10 goals in all but one of the meetings
• First-year junior Sam Walsh saw his first extensive action on faceoffs for Delaware and won 14 of 25 attempts
• Delaware did not have top player and preseason All-CAA midfielder Jackson Finigan available due to an injury suffered against Bucknell
