Taylor Carpentier Tabbed CAA Defensive Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – Delaware sophomore Taylor Carpentier (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) collected her first-ever CAA Defensive Player of the Week Award, as announced by the conference Tuesday morning.
The goalie led the Blue Hens (4-1) to a 2-0 week by posting a total of 14 saves, six groundballs and three caused turnovers.
In last Tuesday's 12-7 victory over La Salle, Carpentier registered six saves on 15 shots faced. She followed by tying a season-high performance of eight saves in Saturday's 13-9 win at Rutgers.
Carpentier is currently tops in the CAA with 30 saves, a mark good for 25th nationally. She is also 23rd in the NCAA with 7.84 goals allowed per.
Drexel sophomore attacker Nadia Pelham-Lacey earned CAA Player of the Week accolades while William & Mary's Eloise Gagnon was named the Rookie of the Week.
Delaware returns to the turf to host Canisius Saturday in the first part of a double header with the Blue Hens men's lacrosse team at Delaware Stadium. First draw is slated for noon.
