Delaware Men's Golfers in 16th Place After Second Day of Kingsmill Intercollegiate

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- The University of Delaware recorded a 301 score on Monday as the Blue Hens ended the second day of the Kingsmill Intercollegiate in 16th place out of 24 teams.
Penn State and Tennessee are tied for the team lead with 569 scores, while TCU sits in third place at 575. Delaware, which fired a 297 on Sunday, resides in 16th place with a 598 two-round total.
Blue Hen senior Kyle Martin carded an even par 70 on Monday, his lowest round of the year, on the par 70, 6,765-yard River Course, and is tied for 23rd place in the individual standings with a five over par 75-70-145. Blaine Lafferty is tied for 32nd place with a six over par 71-75-146, while Mark Benevento has fired a 12 over par 77-75-152 to end the day tied for 73rd place.
Kieran Purcell is tied for 97th place with a 16 over par 74-82-156, while Joe Visalli has recorded a 24 over par 83-81-164 to tie for 121st place.
Charles Huntzinger of Penn State, who fired a 64 on Monday, sits at nine under par and holds a six-shot lead.
The final round of the invitational will feature a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday.
