Delaware in Sixth Place, Martin 12th Following Second Day of CAA Men's Golf Championship

SOUTHPORT, N.C. -- The University of Delaware sits in sixth place while senior Kyle Martin is 12th on Saturday following the second round of the CAA Men's Golf Championship.
The Blue Hens posted a 307 team score during the second round of the tournament, ending the day in sixth place out of nine squads with 605 two-round total. College of Charleston leads the field with a 578 score, UNCW sits in second place at 592, and Drexel and James Madison are tied for third at 596.
Martin carded a two under par 70 on the par 72, 6,784-yard Founders Club course at St. James Plantation, tied for his lowest round of the year, to move into 12th place with a four over par 78-70-148. Martin was two under through six holes on Saturday after four pars and two birdies, and after falling back to even par, he closed his round with two straight birdies.
Kieran Purcell fired a four over par 76 during his second round of the tournament, and is tied for 15th place with a six over par 74-76-150. Marc Oliveri, who also recorded a 76 on Saturday, is tied for 18th place at 76-76-152, eight over par.
Blaine Lafferty was the third Blue Hen to card a 76 during Saturday's round, as he ended the day tied for 26th place with an 11 over par 79-76-155. Mark Benevento is tied for 33rd place with a 13 over par 79-78-157 heading into the final round of the tournament.
William Rainey of the College of Charleston leads the field with a four under par 71-69-140, while Thomas Eldridge of UNCW is two shots back.
The final round of the CAA Championship will begin at 8 a.m. on Sunday.
