Delaware Tied For 16th Place Following Second Round of NCAA Bryan Regional

BRYAN, Tex. -- The University of Delaware fired a 305 score on Friday to finish the day tied for 16th place following the second round of the NCAA Women's Golf Bryan Regional.
Delaware, which carded a 311 score during Thursday's opening round, is currently tied for 16th out of 18 teams at the regional with a two-round total of 616. No. 11 Arizona leads the field with a 567 score, following by third-ranked UCLA at 568 and sixth-ranked Georgia at 569.
Blue Hen senior Vimonthip Benjasupawan fired a one over par 73 on the par 72, 6,373-yard Traditions Golf Club course, ending the day tied for 60th place in the individual standings with a seven over par 78-73-151.
Classmate Nathalie Filler fired her second consecutive five over par 77, putting her in a tie for 71st place with a 10 over par 77-77-154. Filler birdied 15, 4 and 8 during her round, while adding 10 pars.
Junior Grace Chua recorded a seven over par 79 on Friday, as she ended the day in 89th place at 84-79-163, 19 over par. Chua's lone birdie of the day came on the 18th hole, while she added nine pars during her round.
Vitoria Teixeira carded an eight over par 80 during her second round, ending the day tied for 91st place with a 21 over par 85-80-165. Teixeira birdied 13 and 18 during a two over par back nine, before recording a six over front nine.
Bronte Law of UCLA, the top-ranked player in the nation, leads the regional with a nine under par through two rounds, while Bianca Pagdanganan of Gonzaga is just one shot back.
The final round of the three-day tournament will begin at 8 a.m. Central on Saturday. The low six teams and the low three individuals on those teams advance to the national championships on May 20-25 in Eugene, Oregon.
