Jamie Schwartz Selected For 2017 U.S. Women's Lacrosse National Team Tryouts

SPARKS, Md. -- University of Delaware rising senior Jamie Schwartz has been selected to try out for the 2017 U.S. Women's Lacrosse National Team, US Lacrosse announced last week.
Schwartz (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron) is one of 105 players selected for the tryouts, which will be held from Aug. 5-7 at the national team training center at US Lacrosse headquarters in Sparks, Md.
Following the three-day tryout, approximately 36 players will be selected for the U.S. team, which will train in the lead-up to the 2017 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) Women's World Cup in Guildford, England. Ultimately, 18 players will represent the U.S. as the team goes for a third consecutive and eighth overall world title.
Schwartz, who appeared in all 17 games for the Blue Hens this spring, posted a career-best 45 points on a team-leading 29 goals and 16 assists. She ended the season ranked eighth in the Colonial Athletic Association in points, tied for eighth in assists, and ninth in goals.
