NEWARK, Del. – Ella Rishko scored a season-high six goals and the University of Delaware women's lacrosse team led from start to finish in a convincing 16-6 victory over Stetson on Saturday afternoon in an Atlantic Sun (ASUN) Conference matchup at Delaware Stadium. With the victory, the Fightin' Blue Hens have now won six-straight games and improve to 7-4 overall and remaining undefeated at 4-0 in ASUN play, while the Hatters fall to 2-9 overall and 2-1 in conference action.
The Blue Hens celebrated their 13 seniors prior to the game in a Senior Day Ceremony. Delaware's senior class combined to score 12 of the 16 goals.
ON THE RECORD
"Today was a great win for the Hens on Senior Day," head coach Amy Altig said. "We knew we had to be on our game with Stetson coming off a big win against Liberty. Ella had a great game, and she definitely got us going offensively and in the draw circle. Holding them to six goals was a big accomplishment and being able to continue our offensive production was key for us. Another good conference win for the Hens!"
