Blue Hen Women's Golfers Open Fall Season This Weekend at Rutgers Invitational

Patty Post, is looking to continue its momentum from the spring season when the Blue Hens captured the Colonial Athletic Association championship and competed in the NCAA Bryan (Tex.) Regional.
Sophomore Ashley Dingman, who averaged 80.00 shots per round while appearing in six tournaments a year ago, will play at the No. 1 spot for Delaware. Senior Grace Chua will play in the third position after posting an 80.90 average round in seven invitationals last season, while sophomore Valentina Mueller will be in the fourth spot after she averaged 79.88 shots in six tournaments during her rookie campaign.
Senior Vitoria Teixeira, who ranked fifth on the team with a 78.86 average round in 2015-16 including a ninth place finish at the Delaware Invitational, will play in the fifth spot for the Blue Hens. Additionally freshman Josefina Fernandez-Davila will be in the second position, while fellow newcomers Kylie Greulich and Ariane Klotz will participate in the tournaments as individuals.
The invitational will be the first five fall tournaments for the Blue Hens, who will also compete in the Penn State Invitational on Sept. 24-25, Princeton Invitational on Oct. 1-2, Denver Women's Intercollegiate on Oct. 7-9, and Delaware Invitational on Oct. 22-23.
