ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Monday's second round of the Navy Fall Classic was cancelled as rain throughout the day led to unplayable conditions.
The Blue Hens tied for fourth place out of 16 teams by carding a 293 during Sunday's first round. Wagner captured the team title with a 283 score, followed by Robert Morris at 288 and California (Pa.) at 290. Delaware, Drexel and Navy tied for fourth with 293 scores.
UD junior Blaine Lafferty tied for third place, the lowest finish of his career, by firing a one under par 70 on Sunday on the par 71, 6,528-yard Naval Academy Golf Course.
The Blue Hens return to action on Oct. 2-3 when they compete in the Binghamton/Matthews Auto Collegiate Golf Invitational at the Links of Hiawatha Landing in Apalachin, N.Y.
