Delaware Outshoots George Washington But Falls 3-0 to Colonials in Women's Soccer

Scott Grzenda, whose team was coming off a 1-0 victory over Loyola Sunday. “But you have to give credit to GW. They finished the chances when they had them. We're putting so much pressure on ourselves to score and thinking too much. We need to play with instinct and abandon.”

Delaware outshot its opponent for just the second time this season but suffered its third shutout of the campaign. In addition to Zelenky, Jillian Vassallo and Krista Trinidad each had two shots for the game.

George Washington got a goal from MacKenzie Cowley 19:21 into the game while Olivia Dicristofaro and Kate Elson tallied second half goals in the final 30 minutes of play.

• Despite the 1-6 record, Delaware has been outscored by a mere 4-3 margin in the first half this season
