Daley, who joined the Hens in December, was an IWLCA Regional All-American, MAAC Defensive Player of the Year and three-time All-MAAC goalie at Canisius from 2008-11.
She spent the past three seasons as an assistant and the director of recruiting at Binghamton University, where she mentored 11 All-Conference honorees. Daley also held a major role in leading the Bearcats to the program's lowest goals against average in 2016 while Rebecca became the program's first-ever America East Rookie of the Year this past spring.
This roster announcement brings an end to a lengthy team selection process that began in late 2015 and saw an initial pool of 127 applicants from across the country narrowed down after tryouts in August and October.
"The tryouts were highly competitive and the final selection process was extremely difficult, but I am confident that we have chosen the best 18 players available," said Canada head coach Scott Teeter. "These ladies give our senior women's team program the best chance to improve on our previous international results. We made it to the championship finals in 2013, but now it's our time to take the next step and bring home the gold medal!"
These world-class athletes, many of whom are no strangers to playing on the international stage, will look to guide Canada to its first ever world cup gold medal. The final roster is comprised of seven members of the silver medal winning 2013 world cup team, as well as six familiar faces from Canada's historic gold medal performance at the 2015 FIL U19 Women's Field Lacrosse World Championship.
