Becky Gohsler Garners CAA Player of the Week Accolades

RICHMOND, Va. – Junior Becky Gohsler (Mendham, N.J./West Morris Mendham) earned her first CAA Player of the Week honor, as announced by the league Tuesday.
Gohsler exploded for a career-best six goals as Delaware defeated Georgetown, 10-9, in the season lid-lifter for both squads at Delaware Stadium Saturday.
Her goal and point totals doubled her previous career-best while she became the first Blue Hen to record at least six goals in the season opener since 1988. The midfielder also tied a career-high with three ground balls.
Elon's Alexis Zadjura was named the Defensive Player of the Week while Towson's Sami Chenoweth collected Rookie of the Week accolades.
The Blue Hens return to Delaware Stadium to host #11/11 Penn this Saturday at noon.
