GAME PREVIEW
The Blue Hens continue their four-game homestand this afternoon as Delaware plays host to longtime foe Saint Joseph's here at Delaware Stadium.
The Hens (5-3), looking to shake off a 13-9 setback to Binghamton last week that snapped a four-game win streak, will be looking to get some revenge on a Saint Joseph's team (3-4) that has defeated them three straight times.
Delaware fell to Binghamton last Saturday here at Delaware Stadium as the Bearcats scored four man-up goals and committed just six turnovers. Binghamton scored the first four goals of the fourth quarter to break away from an 8-7 lead. Trupert Ortlieb led the Hens with three goals while Charlie Kitchen and Joe Eisele both scored twice and Will Hirschmann added a goal and a career-high three assists.
The Hawks lost their first three games of the season to #3 Maryland (16-8), #19 Penn (10-5), and #16 Duke (16-3) before winning three straight over St. John's (8-5), Manhattan (18-6), and Monmouth (6-5 in OT). SJU is coming off a 12-8 setback to Delaware's CAA rival Drexel on Sunday that snapped the win streak.
