Blue Hen Women’s Golfers Tied For Fifth Place After First Day of Web.com Intercollegiate

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- The University of Delaware women's golf team fired rounds of 303 and 310 on Monday to end the first day of the Web.com Intercollegiate tied for fifth place out of 16 squads.
East Tennessee State leads the way with a two-round total of 598, while Cincinnati sits in second place with a 602 score. Florida International is third at 608, tournament host Jacksonville sits in fourth at 610, and the Blue Hens, Texas State, Central Arkansas and Sam Houston State are tied for fifth with 613 scores.
Blue Hen freshman Ariane Klotz carded a seven over par 74-77-151 on the par 72, 5,967-yard course at Marsh Landing Country Club, finishing the day tied for 13th place in the individual standings. Vitoria Teixeira is tied for 20th place with an eight over par 76-76-152, while Ashley Dingman shot a 10 over par 79-75-154 to end Monday's action in a tie for 28th place.
Valentina Mueller is tied for 44th place with a 13 over par 74-83-157, while Josefina Fernandez-Davila is tied for 81st place with a 20 over par 82-82-164.
Playing as an individual, Grace Chua fired an 11 over par 78-77-155 to end the day tied for 34th place.
Sasikarn Somboonsup of Texas State holds a four-shot lead after she fired a four under par 68-72-140 on Monday.
The final round of the invitational with begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday.
