Women’s Lacrosse B+ Hero Hats Now on Sale

The University of Delaware women's lacrosse team will be selling hats in an effort to raise awareness for the Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation.
The Blue Hens will host B+ Hero Day at Delaware Stadium on Sunday, April 23 as they conclude CAA play with James Madison at 1 p.m. Fans are encouraged to wear Delaware Gold to the game in support of childhood cancer. The international symbol of childhood cancer is the gold ribbon.
The B+ Foundation provides financial and emotional support to families of children with cancer. Additionally, the foundation funds childhood cancer research in search of cures and advancements in chemotherapy.
A B+ Hero is a child who has battled or is still battling childhood cancer. Varsity and recreation teams along with many student organization across campus have adopted B+ Heroes. The women's lacrosse team's hero is Hayden Weiss, a 5-year-old cancer survivor.
Kateri LinvilleThe hats cost $20 each with orders due by Friday, April 14 at 4 p.m. Hats ordered will be available for pickup at the game on April 23. No gameday sales will be available.
