De Koning and Rhodes Guide No. 18 Delaware to 2-0 Win Over Penn

NEWARK, Del. – The lucky number was two as the No. 18 Blue Hens wrapped play this weekend with their second straight 2-0 victory, this time against Penn at Fred P. Rullo Stadium.
Senior goalie Sydney Rhodes and Delaware posted the 2-0 win over No. 20 Virginia on Friday before recording Sunday's shutout versus the Quakers. Rhodes finished the day with three saves and lowered her season GAA to 1.77.
Sophomore Lotte de Koning gathered both goals for the Hens (8-6). De Koning's first goal came exactly at the two-minute mark while her second goal was tallied with just over two minutes remaining in regulation.
Paige Meily, Erin Quinn and Alexa Schneck each collected two shots for Penn (7-7) while Ava Rosati logged one save between the pipes.
