POWELLS POINT, N.C. – The University of Delaware men's golf team fired a 288 score during Monday's round and sits in seventh place following the second day of the Old Dominion/Outer Banks Intercollegiate.
The Blue Hens, who carded a 300 score on Sunday, are seventh out of 18 teams with a 588 total. Campbell holds a commanding lead with a 546 score, while UNCW is second at 569 and Drexel is third at 577.
Jack Melville led Delaware by shooting a one under par 70 on the par 71, 6,550-yard Kilmarlic Golf Club course, and is tied for 17th place among the individuals with a two over par 74-70-144.
Christian Chapman also fired a 70 during his second round, and is tied for 24th place with a four over par 76-70-146. Matt Pulgini has carded a six over par 73-75-148 to end the day in a tie for 36th place, while Roberto Nieves is tied for 44th place with an eight over par 77-73-150. RJ Wren is tied for 81st place after firing an 18 over par 79-81-160 through the opening two rounds.
Jesper Svensson of Campbell holds an eight-shot lead at the invitational with a 13 under par 65-64-129.
The final round of the tournament will begin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
