No. 16 Blue Hens Capture CAA Regular Season Title With 4-3 Victory Over Northeastern

Freshman Lizzie Gaebel made her fourth start of the season and registered seven saves, including three huge stops in the final five minutes to lead the Hens (11-6, 5-0 CAA) to victory.
Delaware saw goals from four different players while seven total Blue Hens recorded at least one point.
The Hens opened the game with back-to-back goals from senior Michaela Scanlon (ninth minute) and freshman Pia Freudenberger (10th minute) before the Huskies (7-10, 3-2 CAA) rattled off three straight tallies of their own.
In the 50th minute, sophomore Ellie Schepens notched the game-tying goal before classmate Lotte de Koning collected the game-winner in the 63rd minute.
Rachel Campbell and June Curry-Lindahl led Northeastern with one goal and one assist apiece while Julia Gluyas logged eight saves.

HEN SCRATCHINGS
· The Blue Hens held a moment of silence before the game and also wore black bands with the number 17 in honor of Meghan Mulqueen Taylor '92, who passed away earlier this month after a battle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and subsequently Bronchiolitis Obliterans.
· Delaware held its annual Academic Thanksgiving to recognize its academic advisors and professors.
· The Blue Hens have won 23 straight CAA regular season and tournament contests.
· Delaware has won three straight and four overall CAA regular season titles.
· UD has won eight straight over Northeastern.
· Greta Nauck moved into fourth place in program history with 29 career assists.
