Varsity Eights, 2nd Varsity Fours Shine in Season Opener

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Delaware women's rowing team opened its spring season Saturday afternoon, competing against rivals Saint Joseph's and Penn on the Schuylkill River.
Highlights for Delaware included the Blue Hens Varsity Eights (7:08.20) finishing second and the Blue Hens' 2nd Varsity Four also finishing second (8:01.50).
Delaware will return to action in two weeks (Mar. 31) at the Murphy Cup Regatta in Philadelphia.
