Rowing Earns First Ever CAA Boat of the Week Award

RICHMOND, Va. – Following an impressive outing at the Mason Invitational this past weekend, the University of Delaware's Varsity Eight boat has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Boat of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday. The award, which was introduced a season ago, is Delaware's first CAA Boat of the Week recognition since the award's inception.
The boat led by coxswain Alison Gibney, and consisting of Natalie Teichman, Mia Natale, Claire Brown, Kaitlyn
Delaware then finished in third place in the 'A' Final behind George Washington and Big 12 opponent Kansas. With a lot of help coming from Delaware's stellar performance, the CAA placed second in the conference competition format.
The Blue Hens will return to action this Saturday, April 28, as they take on Navy, Saint Joseph's and West Virginia, in preparation for the Dad Vail Regatta on May 11.
