PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The University of Delaware women's rowing team sent one Novice Eights boat to the annual Dad Vail Regatta Friday and Saturday on the Schuylkill River.

Competing in the second heat, the Blue Hens Novice Eights qualified third (7:42.45) advancing to Saturday's Petite Final. The Hens missed a spot in the Grand Final by just under a quarter of a second.

Returning to action on the Schuylkill Saturday, Delaware finished with a better time (7:22.93), finishing fourth for an overall 10th place showing in the event.

The Blue Hens return to action Sunday for the 2018 CAA Championships held on the Cooper River in New Jersey.
