University of Delaware Men’s Golf Announces 2018 Fall Schedule

NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware men's golf team will compete in five tournaments as the Blue Hens announced their 2018 fall schedule on Thursday.
Delaware, under the direction of Director of Golf Programs Patty Post, kicks off the campaign on Sept. 2-3 at the Turning Stone Intercollegiate at Turning Stone (N.Y) Golf Course. The Blue Hens then head to the Golfweek Program Challenge at True Blue Golf Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C. on Sept. 9-11.
Delaware will compete in the Villanova Invitational at White Manor Country Club in Malvern, Pa. on Sept. 28-30, before travelling to the Elon Invitational at Alamance Country Club in Burlington, N.C. on Oct. 15-16. The fall campaign again concludes at the ODU Outer Banks Intercollegiate at Kilmarlic Golf Club in Powells Point, N.C. on Oct. 22-24.
Junior Jack Melville will lead the Blue Hens after competing in all but one tournament last season, when he ranked third on the squad with a 75.18 average round and tied for third place at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial Invitational. Sophomore Christian Chapman, who participated in all but one invitational while ranking fifth on the squad with a 75.59 stroke average, also returns for Delaware.
