Melville, Nieves Tied For Third Place After Second Round of Wildcat Fall Invitational

MALVERN, Pa. – The University of Delaware men's golf team sits in third place while Jack Melville and Roberto Nieves are tied for third following the second round of the Wildcat Fall Invitational on Saturday.
After carding a 289 score on Friday, the Blue Hens fired a 291 on Saturday and are third out of seven teams with a 580 total. Appalachian State leads the field at 570, while Georgetown is second with a 578 score.
Melville shot a two under par 69 on the par 71 course at White Manor Country Club, and is tied for third place with a one over par 74-69-143. Melville birdied the second, ninth and 15th holes on Saturday, while carding just one bogey on the day.
Nieves fired a one over par 72 during his second round of the tournament, and is also tied for third place with a one over par 71-72-143. Nieves posted birdies on the seventh and 10th holes, to go with 13 pars.
RJ Wren, who finished with three birdies during his two over par 73 on Saturday, is tied for 11th place with a three over par 72-73-145.
Nick Vecellio, playing as an individual, and Christian Chapman are each tied for 26th place at seven over par. Vecellio has fired a 76-73-149 through the first two rounds, while Champman has carded a 72-77-149. Matt Pulgini is tied for 37th place with a 14 over par 78-78-156.
The final round of the invitational will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.
