The senior had a game-high 15 kills and 10 digs

TOWSON, Md. – Senior Maria Bellinger had a double-double Sunday afternoon in the Delaware volleyball team's three-set (20-25, 21-25, 17-25) defeat to the CAA's top team Towson at SECU Arena.

After dropping the first set, Bellinger started up a 3-0 run early in the second to give the Blue Hens momentum, starting off with a kill and following it up with an ace. The Blue Hens were able to extend the lead to 18-13 after a 3-0 run that included back-to-back kills from freshman Lani Mason.

The Tigers used a timeout to help cool off the run and outscored Delaware 12-3 down the stretch in the second to take a 2-0 lead at the break.

Bellinger had 15 kills and 10 digs for her 25^th career double-double, hitting .400 with just one error while adding two denials and an ace.

Senior Bailey Pearlman came off the bench to add eight kills and classmate Andie Hanus pitched in with 13 digs.

Delaware returns home for a pair of matches at the Bob Carpenter Center, starting off with William & Mary Nov. 8 and Elon Nov. 10 for Senior Day.
