Hens Drop Overtime Heartbreaker at William & Mary, 12-11

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Blue Hens forced overtime with just 13 seconds remaining in regulation, but the Tribe was able to pull out the 12-11 victory Friday evening at Martin Family Stadium.
It was a game of runs as Delaware twice posted stretches of four goals while William & Mary posted streaks of five goals and four goals.
Caroline Farley guided the Hens with four goals while Mia DeRuggiero contributed two goals and an assist. Farley added two draw controls and a ground ball in the loss.
Defensively, Chantae Simms and Julia Dambly each posted five ground balls. Simms added three caused turnovers and Dambly picked up two to go along with a draw control.
Kate Brewster logged four saves and four ground balls between the pipes.
